Title: Horehound Lozenges

Yield: 20 Servings

1 1/3 cup dried horehound leaves steeped in 2 cups of boiling water. Steep and strain. Add to the liquid 2 cups of honey, 4 cups of brown sugar and 1 teaspoon cream of tartar. Heat to a temperature of 312 degrees F. Remove from fire, add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and pour into hot buttered pans, mark into squares, and cool.
